Open heart surgery question?

Its been like a month since i had the surgery and i just got out the hospital 2 days ago. I was alright but in a little pain and this is not the first time i had this type of surgery but this time is because i caught a bad infection from my ICD implant and antibiotics didn't help and they had to do a exploratory surgery. Basically every since i got out the hospital it felt like someone hit me on the right side of my chest twice with a brick and it hurts some when i breathe and also when i move curtain ways and it will even hurt if im just sitting down. My doctor did warn me i will be in some pain and im on pain medication and all it do is give me stomach aches and i feel like i have to throw up. I looked up conditions such as a collapsed lung and i don't have them symptoms so im like stunned since i never been in this type of pain even with my previous surgeries. I called my doctor and waiting for her to call me back. Am i over reacting? or is there something else going on or could be?
