10in vs 12in subwoofer?

Well I'm wondering what will be the difference between the two.. I'm debating between a type r 10 or 12, price doesn't matter, and want to know the sound differences (loudness, cleanness etc.) I listen to bey rap and reggae (ludacris, three 6 mafia etc and slighty stoopid, sublime, bob marley etc) please don't say it's louder or that its cleaner without an explanation if you could
