Activation Help?

I bought Windows XP SP2 disk for about 250$ because I decided to try to update an old 98SE machine and it worked but when I registered it I noticed I had to activate it so when the time came to do it I called the support number and it is no longer active so please someone tell me some way tell activate it or I will loose irreplaceable data and I don’t have internet on my machine
